Privacy Policy
On this page, "Anchored," "we," and "us" refer to RW Digital Ventures LLC, a Wyoming company (30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA), the operator of this site and the maker of the Anchored app.
This Privacy Policy explains the information we collect, how we use and disclose it, how long we retain it, and the choices available to you. It applies to the Anchored iOS app and the remainanchored.com website. We limit our collection and use of personal information to what is reasonably necessary to operate, improve, secure, and promote Anchored. We do not sell personal information for money. Certain website advertising activities may be considered "sharing" under California law, as explained below.
The Anchored app
This section covers the Anchored iOS app. If you have not downloaded the app, only the website section below applies to you.
What the app collects
Account information. Your email address and the credentials used to sign you in.
Onboarding answers. When you set up Anchored, we ask questions about your goals and background, including your faith background. We use these answers to personalize Scripture, encouragement, and app features. Faith information and certain habit-related responses may be considered sensitive personal information or consumer health data under applicable law. We do not use these answers for advertising or provide them to Meta or Google.
Progress and habit data. We collect daily check-ins, milestones, progress history, and information you choose to enter into the app. We use this information to provide requested app features, display your progress, personalize your experience, and maintain your account. Because this information may reveal details about behavioral habits, sexual well-being, or mental health, we treat it as sensitive information and do not use it for advertising or provide it to Meta or Google.
Ally connections. If you invite an ally, we store the connection and information necessary to provide the ally feature. An ally may see the progress and milestones identified within the app but does not receive your private notes, entries, faith-background response, or the specific habit you are addressing. You should invite only someone who has agreed to receive the invitation.
Purchase status. Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We receive confirmation of your subscription status so the app can unlock your features. We never see or store your card number.
Usage, diagnostics, and advertising measurement. We collect limited information about app functionality, feature usage, device characteristics, errors, and performance to operate and improve Anchored. PostHog processes feature-usage events associated with an internal account identifier and basic device information. We do not provide PostHog with your private notes, faith-background response, or habit-related content.
We also measure the effectiveness of campaigns promoting Anchored. Meta receives only anonymous conversion signals through Apple's SKAdNetwork system, which is built into iOS itself. Those signals are generated and sent by iOS and do not contain user-specific or device-specific information. No Meta software development kit, code library, or tracking pixel is included in the app. From the app, no device identifier, no advertising identifier, and no user identifier of any kind is sent to Meta, and no behavioral or content data leaves the app for this purpose: no Walk activity, no resets, no check-ins, no screen views, and no content interaction.
We also use Google Analytics for Firebase, for advertising measurement only. The app reports one custom event, the start of a free trial, plus a small set of standard app-lifecycle events that Google Analytics records automatically, such as first app open, session start, app updates, and in-app purchases. Screen reporting is disabled and advertising identifier collection is disabled. These events carry no health-related content and no user identifier: they are associated with a random identifier generated for the app installation, not with your account, name, or email. Google derives an approximate location from a shortened version of the IP address, and the automatic in-app-purchase event gives Google visibility into purchases of Anchored+ subscriptions. Beyond these events, no behavioral or content data is sent to Google: no Walk activity, no resets, no check-ins, no screen views, and no content interaction. Anchored does not display third-party advertisements inside the app.
How we protect sensitive app information
We do not use faith-background responses, private notes, check-ins, or habit-related content for advertising. We do not provide that information to Meta, Google, or data brokers. The app contains no Meta software, and no data of any kind is sent from the app to Meta. The only advertising signals Meta receives about the app are the anonymous SKAdNetwork conversion signals that iOS generates and sends itself. Google receives only the trial-start and app-lifecycle events described above. Those events are not tied to your account, name, or email, and they carry no health-related content. We do not display third-party advertisements inside the app, and we do not reveal the nature of a user's habit in lock-screen notifications or widgets. We do not sell personal information for money.
Where your app data lives
Your app data is stored on cloud infrastructure provided by Supabase and is encrypted in transit. The servers used for Anchored are located in the United States. We disclose limited information to service providers only as reasonably necessary for them to perform services on our behalf.
Supabase provides database and hosting services. Apple and RevenueCat process subscription and purchase-status information. PostHog provides usage analytics. Apple and Expo provide push-notification services. Resend delivers sign-in emails. Google provides advertising measurement through Google Analytics for Firebase, limited to the trial-start and app-lifecycle events described above. Meta receives only Apple's anonymous SKAdNetwork conversion signals for advertising measurement; no Meta software is included in the app, and no data is sent from the app to Meta. These providers receive only the categories of information reasonably necessary for their respective functions and are subject to applicable contractual restrictions.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our agreements, protect Anchored or its users, investigate fraud or security incidents, or complete a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of the business. Any successor will be required to handle personal information consistently with applicable law.
Deleting your app data
You may request deletion of your account through Settings in the app or by emailing hello@remainanchored.com. When your account is deleted, we delete or deidentify information associated with the account from active systems, including onboarding answers, progress history, private entries, and ally connections, unless retention is reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or another purpose permitted by law. Information maintained in backups may remain until those backups are overwritten or securely deleted in the ordinary course, subject to applicable legal deadlines.
Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy. Account, onboarding, progress, and ally-connection information is generally retained while the account remains active and is deleted or deidentified following account deletion, subject to limited legal, security, and backup retention. Subscription records may be retained as necessary to administer purchases and meet legal or accounting obligations. Website logs, analytics information, advertising records, and waitlist information are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for security, measurement, communication, and compliance purposes.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to personal information we maintain about you, obtain a copy, request correction or deletion, withdraw consent, opt out of certain advertising disclosures, or appeal our response to a request. You may exercise these rights by emailing hello@remainanchored.com or by using available in-app controls. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before completing a request. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision and stating that you wish to appeal.
Consumer health data
Certain onboarding answers, habit-related check-ins, progress information, and private entries may be considered consumer health data under Washington's My Health My Data Act or similar state laws. We collect and use this information to provide the features you request and do not use it for advertising. Additional information about the categories of consumer health data we collect, how we use and disclose it, and the rights available to consumers appears in our Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice.
Age requirement
The Anchored app is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we delete any such account we discover.
This website
What we collect today
- Your email address, if you joined the waitlist while the form was available. Those submissions are stored and processed by Formspree, the service that received them on our behalf. We use those addresses only to tell you about the launch.
- Basic technical logs. Like almost every website, our hosting infrastructure keeps standard server logs: things like IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. These logs help keep the site secure and running, and we do not use them to identify you.
How we use website information
We do not sell the waitlist or disclose waitlist information for unrelated third-party marketing. We never required your real name to join the waitlist. We may use limited website information for security, analytics, advertising measurement, and launch communications as described in this Policy.
Email from us
If you joined the waitlist, we will only email you about the waitlist and the launch. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and we honor it. Unsubscribe once and we stop.
Cookies and your choice
A small banner asks for your consent before anything loads. Today the one tool it covers is the Meta Pixel, which loads only after you tap Accept. It helps us measure how many people visit and reach the men who are looking for something like Anchored. It works exactly the way the banner sounds:
- No consent, no cookies. If you decline, or simply do not answer, the Meta Pixel never loads and no cookies are set.
- Declining changes nothing about the site. Every page works the same either way.
- You can change your mind anytime. The "Cookie preferences" link in the footer reopens the banner.
We recognize Global Privacy Control and other legally required opt-out preference signals. When we detect a valid signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and prevent the Meta Pixel and related server-side advertising events from operating for that browser. We will not override the signal based solely on a general cookie acceptance. If you later wish to consent to advertising sharing, we will request a separate and clearly disclosed choice.
If you accept, we send those same advertising events to Meta from our own server as well as from your browser. It is one event either way, not two: the browser copy and the server copy carry a shared ID so Meta counts the action once. What goes with an event is the event name and the page you were on, your IP address and browser information, and the Meta cookie identifiers the pixel set.
California privacy disclosures
California law may provide residents with rights to know, access, correct, or delete personal information; obtain information about collection and disclosure practices; opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; and receive equal service without unlawful discrimination for exercising privacy rights. These rights apply to RW Digital Ventures LLC only to the extent required by applicable law, but we endeavor to honor reasonable privacy requests regardless of whether a statutory threshold applies.
We do not sell personal information for money. If you consent to advertising cookies on our website, we disclose limited identifiers and website activity to Meta for advertising and measurement purposes. This activity may be considered "sharing" under California law, and we treat it as sharing for purposes of providing privacy choices. You may opt out by selecting "Decline," changing your cookie preferences, using the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link, or enabling Global Privacy Control.
The app's Apple-generated SKAdNetwork postbacks are used for privacy-preserving advertising attribution and are not treated as a sale or sharing because they do not contain user-specific or device-specific information. The app includes no Meta software, so nothing is sent from the app to Meta outside those postbacks. The events the app reports to Google Analytics for Firebase, one custom trial-start event and standard app-lifecycle events, are disclosed to Google as a service provider for advertising measurement. They carry no advertising identifier and no user identifier, are associated only with a random installation identifier and an approximate location, and are not treated as a sale or a sharing.
To submit another California privacy request, email hello@remainanchored.com. We may verify your identity before completing a request. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf where permitted by law, subject to reasonable verification of the agent's authority.
We do not sell personal information. We never have and we never will. If you accept cookies, we do pass limited information to Meta for advertising, from your browser and from our server, exactly as described in the Cookies section above, and California law treats that kind of advertising activity as sharing. Declining is how you opt out, and you can change your answer at any time through the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer. If you decline, or never answer, nothing is passed to Meta from this website at all. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as a valid opt-out of sharing. The "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the footer opens the cookie preference control directly.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it. The Anchored app has a higher bar: app accounts require you to be 18 or older.
