Privacy Policy
On this page, "Anchored," "we," and "us" refer to RW Digital Ventures LLC, a Wyoming company (30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA), the operator of this site and the maker of the Anchored app.
This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It covers two things: the Anchored iOS app, and this website. The short version of both: we collect only what we need, we guard it, and we never sell it.
The Anchored app
This section covers the Anchored iOS app. If you have not downloaded the app, only the website section below applies to you.
What the app collects
Account information. Your email address and the credentials used to sign you in.
Onboarding answers. When you set up Anchored, we ask questions about your goals and background, including a question about your faith background. We use your faith background answer only to tailor scripture and encouragement inside the app. We treat this answer as sensitive information: it is never shared with third parties, never used for advertising, and is deleted with the rest of your data when you delete your account.
Progress data. Your daily check-ins, milestones, progress history, and anything you write inside the app. This is the core of what Anchored does, and it stays between you and the app.
Ally connections. If you invite an ally, we store that connection. Anchored is designed so an ally can support you without seeing your private details. An ally sees your progress and milestones, never your private notes or entries, and no notification sent to you or your ally reveals the specific habit you are working on.
Purchase status. Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We receive confirmation of your subscription status so the app can unlock your features. We never see or store your card number.
Usage and diagnostics. Basic, privacy-respecting analytics about which features are used, so we can improve the app. The app contains no ads and no advertising trackers, and it does not track you across other apps or websites.
What the app never does
- We never sell your data, to anyone, for any reason.
- We never share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
- We never show you ads.
- We never expose the nature of your habit in notifications, widgets, or anything visible on your lock screen.
Where your app data lives
Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure with Supabase, our database provider, and is encrypted in transit. Those servers are located in the United States. A small number of service providers process limited data so the app can work. Apple and RevenueCat handle subscriptions: they receive your subscription status, purchase history, and a device identifier, never your card details from us and never your app activity. PostHog provides usage analytics: it receives feature-usage events tied to an internal account ID and basic device information, never your notes and never your faith background answer. Apple and Expo deliver push notifications: they receive device push tokens and notification content, which never reveals the specific habit you are working on. Resend delivers our sign-in emails: it receives your email address and the sign-in link or code we send you, never your notes and never your app activity. None of these providers receive your data for advertising, and none may use it for anything except providing their service to us.
Deleting your app data
You can delete your account at any time from Settings inside the app. Deletion is immediate and complete: every record tied to your account is permanently removed, including your onboarding answers, progress history, and ally connections. There is no soft delete and no retention window.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing hello@remainanchored.com. We respond to every request. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the EU General Data Protection Regulation, and we honor requests made under them.
Age requirement
The Anchored app is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we delete any such account we discover.
This website
What we collect today
- Your email address, if you choose to join the waitlist. The form is stored and processed by Formspree, the service that receives waitlist submissions on our behalf. We use your email only to hold your place and to tell you about the launch.
- Basic technical logs. Like almost every website, our hosting infrastructure keeps standard server logs: things like IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. These logs help keep the site secure and running, and we do not use them to identify you.
What we may add before launch
As we get closer to launch, we may add one more kind of measurement tool to this site:
- Analytics (Google Analytics 4), which helps us understand how visitors use the site: which pages are viewed, and general device and browser information.
This tool uses cookies and collects information such as page visits and device and browser details. That information is shared with Google, the provider of that tool, who processes it under their own privacy policy. It does not load unless you accept cookies. See the Cookies section below.
What we never do
These promises match what we say on the homepage, and they hold for this website:
- We never sell your personal data.
- We never share or rent the waitlist to anyone.
- We never ask for your real name. An email address is all we need.
Email from us
If you join the waitlist, we will only email you about the waitlist and the launch. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and we honor it. Unsubscribe once and we stop.
Cookies and your choice
A small banner asks for your consent before anything loads. Today the one tool it covers is the Meta Pixel, which loads only after you tap Accept. It helps us measure how many people visit and reach the men who are looking for something like Anchored. It works exactly the way the banner sounds:
- No consent, no cookies. If you decline, or simply do not answer, the Meta Pixel never loads and no cookies are set.
- Declining changes nothing about the site. Every page works the same either way.
- You can change your mind anytime. The "Cookie preferences" link in the footer reopens the banner.
We also honor Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends the GPC signal and you have not made a choice on our banner, we treat it as a decline and nothing loads. If you explicitly accept, your choice is respected.
If you accept, we send those same advertising events to Meta from our own server as well as from your browser. It is one event either way, not two: the browser copy and the server copy carry a shared ID so Meta counts the action once. What goes with an event is the event name and the page you were on, your IP address and browser information, the Meta cookie identifiers the pixel set, and, if you submitted the waitlist form, a hashed version of your email address. Hashing turns your address into a fixed string of characters that cannot be turned back into the original, and we never send Meta your email address in readable form. The server copy runs on the same switch as everything else here. Decline, or answer nothing at all, and none of it happens.
California residents
If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you and the right to ask us to delete it. To exercise either right, email us at hello@remainanchored.com and we will take care of it.
We do not sell personal information. We never have and we never will. If you accept cookies, we do pass limited information to Meta for advertising, from your browser and from our server, exactly as described in the Cookies section above, and California law treats that kind of advertising activity as sharing. Declining is how you opt out, and you can change your answer at any time through the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer. If you decline, or never answer, nothing is passed to Meta at all. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as a valid opt-out of sharing. The "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the footer brings you to this section.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it. The Anchored app has a higher bar: app accounts require you to be 18 or older.
