Privacy and Security
This stays between you and God.
An app like this holds the most private thing about a man. We have never forgotten that, and we built Anchored so we never have to be trusted more than necessary.
This page says, in plain language, what we know about you and what we never will. The full legal version lives in our Privacy Policy. This is the human one.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data.
Not to advertisers, not to brokers, not to anyone, not ever.
We do not run ads.
There is no ad network inside Anchored, which means there is no one to leak your struggle to.
We do not post anything.
Anchored never writes to your social accounts, never invites your contacts, never announces you joined.
We do not watch your device.
Anchored is not monitoring software. We do not read your browsing history, scan your screen, or report your activity to an accountability partner's inbox. Men fighting this battle have earned dignity, not surveillance.
We do not publish numbers.
No public member counts, no leaderboards with your name on them. Your Walk is not our marketing material.
What we store, and why
Your account.
An email address and the credentials to sign you in. That is how the app knows you are you.
Your Walk.
Your day count, your check-ins, your resets, your practice progress. Stored so the app can do its job, encrypted in transit and at rest, and readable in your app, not on a public profile.
Nothing else.
No location trails, no contact lists, no browsing data, because we never collect them in the first place.
Discretion, everywhere
We sweat the small things, because with this subject the small things are the whole thing:
Optional Face ID lock.
Anchored can be locked behind Face ID. Turn it on in Settings and the app asks for your face every time it opens, so your Walk stays private on your own device, even if someone else is holding your phone.
Quiet notifications.
The daily reminder is one nudge a day: a short verse, a word of grace, or your practice for the day. Worded so it says nothing to a passing eye. Off anytime.
Unbranded sharing.
If you share a card from the app, you can hide the Anchored wordmark entirely. The words go out. The app's name stays off.
Discreet link previews.
Even the pages of this website were written so that sharing one reveals a hope, not a struggle.
Delete everything, anytime
Your Walk is yours. If you leave, you can delete your account inside the app, and what we stored goes with it.
