Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice
On this page, "Anchored," "we," and "us" refer to RW Digital Ventures LLC, a Wyoming company (30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA), the operator of remainanchored.com and the maker of the Anchored iOS app. This notice explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect consumer health data, and the rights available to you. This notice is provided under Washington's My Health My Data Act, Nevada's consumer health data privacy law, and other applicable state consumer health data laws, and supplements our Privacy Policy.
The categories of consumer health data described below are collected through the Anchored app from adults who create an account. Anchored does not knowingly collect consumer health data from individuals under 18. Our website does not collect consumer health data through forms or account features. However, ordinary technical information collected through the website is addressed in our Privacy Policy.
What consumer health data we collect
Some information collected through Anchored may constitute consumer health data because it may identify or reveal information concerning a user's behavioral habits, mental health, sexual health or well-being, or efforts to address a particular habit or behavior. Depending on the information you provide and the features you use, we may collect the following categories:
Onboarding and goal information. Your onboarding responses, goals, background information, and information concerning the habit or behavior you choose to address.
Behavioral, mental-health, and sexual-well-being information. Information concerning behavioral habits, emotional or mental well-being, sexual health or well-being, or related experiences that you voluntarily provide.
Check-ins and progress information. Daily check-ins, milestones, progress history, reset records, and similar information generated through your use of the app.
Private entries. Notes, reflections, journal-style entries, and other information you voluntarily enter into private fields within the app.
Account and usage information. Internal account identifiers and information concerning your use of app features when associated with the consumer health data described above.
Ally connections. The existence and status of an ally connection, to the extent that it reveals your participation in Anchored. Your ally does not receive your private entries or information identifying the specific habit or behavior you are addressing.
Where it comes from
Consumer health data is collected directly from information you submit through the app or generated through your use of the app's features. We do not purchase consumer health data from data brokers or collect it from unrelated third-party sources. We do not derive or infer additional health conditions from outside sources.
How we use it
We collect, use, and process consumer health data to provide the app features you request, including maintaining and displaying your progress, generating or selecting personalized Scripture and encouragement, maintaining check-in and reset histories, operating the ally feature, administering your account, authenticating users, maintaining the security and integrity of the app, and responding to your requests. We may also process consumer health data as reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, enforce our agreements, prevent fraud, and investigate or respond to security incidents.
How consumer health data is processed
Consumer health data is processed electronically to store and display information entered by users, maintain progress and account records, personalize user-requested content, operate account and ally features, authenticate users, maintain app security, and respond to consumer requests. We limit processing to the purposes described in this notice and the purposes for which the information was collected.
What we never do with it
We do not sell consumer health data. We do not use consumer health data for targeted advertising or disclose it to data brokers, Meta, or advertising platforms. We do not permit third parties to collect consumer health data over time and across unrelated websites or online services when you use Anchored. We do not include the specific habit or behavior you are addressing in push notifications, widgets, or content visible on your device's lock screen.
Who receives it
Consumer health data we disclose
We disclose consumer health data only to processors and service providers acting on our behalf under contractual restrictions and only to the extent reasonably necessary to provide and secure the app. Depending on the applicable service, the disclosed information may include account identifiers, onboarding responses, check-ins, progress information, private entries, ally-connection information, and related app records.
Processors and service providers
Supabase. Supabase provides database, authentication, and hosting services. It stores the account and app data necessary to operate Anchored, including consumer health data entered or generated through the app, on servers located in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit.
Apple and Expo. Apple and Expo provide services used to deliver push notifications. Notification content does not identify the specific habit or behavior a user is addressing and does not include private entries.
PostHog. PostHog provides usage analytics and receives limited feature-usage and technical events associated with a pseudonymous internal identifier. Anchored configures PostHog not to receive onboarding responses, the content of check-ins, private entries, or the specific habit or behavior identified by a user. Where PostHog analytics events can be associated with the internal identifier assigned to your account, we will also delete or direct PostHog to delete those events in response to an authenticated deletion request.
Other providers. Apple, RevenueCat, and Resend provide app distribution, subscription-management, and email-delivery services. Based on Anchored's current configuration, these providers do not receive the content of onboarding responses, check-ins, private entries, or information identifying the specific habit or behavior a user is addressing.
We do not disclose consumer health data to affiliates for their independent use. We may disclose information when required or permitted by law or as part of a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of the business. Any successor receiving consumer health data through such a transaction will assume the obligations applicable to that data under applicable law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to confirm whether we collect, share, or sell consumer health data concerning you; access that data; review and request correction of that data; obtain a list of the third parties and affiliates with whom we have shared or sold it, including available contact information; withdraw consent and direct us to cease future collection or sharing; and request deletion. We do not sell consumer health data. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
How to exercise your rights
You may submit a request by emailing hello@remainanchored.com or using the applicable controls in the app's Settings. You do not need to create a new account to submit a request, although we may require you to use an existing account. We may request information reasonably necessary to authenticate your identity and the request. We will respond without undue delay and within the period required by applicable law. Requests will be processed without charge as required by applicable law.
Reviewing and correcting your information
You may review and update certain account or app information through the app's Settings or other applicable app features. To request correction of consumer health data that cannot be corrected through the app, email hello@remainanchored.com.
Appeals
If we decline to act on your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing hello@remainanchored.com and stating that you wish to appeal. We will review and respond to the appeal in writing within the period required by applicable law and explain any action taken or not taken. If your appeal is denied, we will provide information about how you may submit a complaint to the appropriate state regulator. Washington residents may contact the Washington State Attorney General at www.atg.wa.gov/file-complaint.
Deletion, retention, and backups
You may delete your account through the app's Settings or request deletion by emailing hello@remainanchored.com. After authenticating a deletion request, we will delete the consumer health data covered by the request from our active systems and notify applicable processors, contractors, affiliates, and third parties of the request as required by law. We will also direct those recipients to delete the applicable consumer health data from their records.
Consumer health data stored in archived or backup systems will be deleted within the period required by applicable law. For Washington consumers, deletion from archived and backup systems may be delayed for no longer than six months after the request is authenticated. We may retain information only when and to the extent retention is required or permitted by applicable law. Otherwise, we retain consumer health data only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the features requested by the user.
How we protect it
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of consumer health data. These safeguards include encryption in transit and restrictions limiting access to employees, contractors, and service providers who require access to operate, support, or secure the app. We also design Anchored so that an ally does not receive private notes, entries, or information identifying the specific habit or behavior a user is addressing.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice to reflect changes to Anchored, our data practices, or applicable law. We will post the revised notice with a new effective date. If a change is material, we will provide notice through the app, by email, or through another clear and conspicuous method before the change takes effect. We will obtain affirmative consent before collecting, using, or disclosing additional categories of consumer health data or processing consumer health data for materially different purposes when required by applicable law.
