How it works

A method, not a miracle.

Quitting is not one decision. It is a hundred small ones, made on ordinary days, usually alone. Anchored is built for those moments. Here is how.

Stage one

Begin your Walk

Every man who opens Anchored begins the same way: Day 1 of his Walk. A private commitment, between you and God, counted quietly from that morning on. No one else sees it. Nothing is posted.

If you want it in front of you, a home screen widget keeps the count and the day's verse close: Day 14 of your Walk, and a word to hold onto.

Stage two

The daily hold

Freedom is built in the daily things. Each day, Anchored gives you three of them:

A verse that holds.

Scripture on your Home screen each day, chosen for the fight you are actually in.

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God”Isaiah 41:10, KJV

Not a widget platitude. A word for the war.

Today's Practice.

One short practice a day, about three minutes, each built on a passage. Day 1 starts at the beginning: why you are here. The days build from there, a steady path, one day at a time.

A moment of honesty.

A brief, private check-in. How is the pull today? Thirty seconds of telling the truth to yourself changes what the rest of the day looks like.

Stage three

When the storm comes

There will be a night when the pull is strong. Anchored is built for that night.

At the top of the Home screen, always in reach, is one button: I need help right now. Tap it and the app meets the moment with you: a breath, a passage, a way through the next ten minutes. Most urges live and die inside ten minutes. You only have to outlast them, one at a time.

Behind it stands the Reset Library, short practices for wherever you are today. Search by feeling, like tired, alone, or tempted. There is a pack for the quiet hours when it hits hardest, called Late Night, and practical tools for building new patterns, called Rewiring.

Stage four

If you stumble

Some men stumble on the way to freedom. What matters is what happens next.

Anchored has a whole set of practices for exactly that moment. It is called After a Stumble: grace for the moment after, and a way to get back up without shame. You log it honestly as a reset, you take the practice the moment needs, and you begin again. The anchor did not move. You drifted, and the line pulls you back.

“For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again.”Proverbs 24:16, KJV

Stage five

The page that remembers

Once a week, Anchored lays your week out plain in a Weekly Report. Not to grade you. To show you what is real: the check-ins, the resets, the days held.

Feelings forget. This page remembers. Over months, it becomes something few men have ever had in this fight: honest evidence that you are becoming a different man.

Your first week is free for everyone. Private from the first tap.
